Emergency Door
Accessibility: Usually located in high-traffic areas and clearly marked with illuminated "EXIT" signs. Ease of Use: Often equipped with panic bars (crash bars), allowing the door to be opened instantly by applying pressure, even in dark or smoky conditions. Directional Flow: These doors almost always swing outward (in the direction of exit) to prevent crowds from crushing against the door during a rush. Fire Rating: Many are constructed from fire-resistant materials to slow the spread of flames and smoke between compartments. Security: Designed to be permanently unlocked from the inside for exiting, while remaining locked from the outside to prevent unauthorized entry.
